Biography
Rod Munro is one of Scotland's most renowned painters. He paints in the classic tradition, primarily specialising in watercolors, although he also uses other media including oils, pastels, and drawings in sanguine chalk. His subject matter ranges from portraiture to pets, nudes and landscapes, largely using his own photography as source material. He was at one time a full-time professional photographer for UK TV and many fashion houses, and is now a full-time professional artist. Rod is available for private commissions, and also exhibits his work frequently, having had more than 20 one-man exhibitions. His paintings hang in private collections around the world. Many of his original works and limited edition prints are available for sale. He was also formerly an electronic engineer, who now has an interest in sound engineering when he is not busy painting. Rod is passionate about music, and is involved with iChoir based in Whitehills.
